`world of fashion...

history of costume was my only class today.it started at 10 am..but i was already in school around 9..so my lecturer ms divya..she wants each and everyone of us in the class to tell her a little bit of our back ground..as in why we take up tht course?why do we like fashion?who is the designer we look up to?what are we planning to do after we gradute? and etc etc..well,honestly,i'm not good at expressing myself..especially when there's a whole lot of people i dont know..or probably i'm new to..so i'm kinda like a bit nervous and speechless when its my turn..but i' not the only one..everyone in class was the same actually..hehe..so in this lesson,we learn about the little details tht many of us might not know..like what is a shendot?kalasiris? or sheath?..there's a lot more terms like this..well let me tell you.all these are from the ancient egypt..a shendot is a decorative belt...kalasiris is a single long garment,closefitting covering from just under the breast to the ankles held up by thin shoulders..as for the sheath,it is a tight fitted dress tht started from under the bust line and held up by shoulder straps however,a collar which could be cut leather net is worn on the upper part giving th ilusion tht it is attached to the skirt.

because of the heat and the importance for cleanliness,the royalty shaved their heads and wore wigs to protect thier head from the heat and also dignity.the wig with head covering is known as a "klaft".now,when we talk about ancient egypt,we are reminded of the great sphinx,cleopatra and pyramids..!!i would like to really see the real pyramid in egypt one day..but those pyramids might not be here anymore in future...theres a lot more to talk about history..but i'm not gonna blog all here..
so,basically,nothing much today..oh i think i should say its yesterday because its already past 12 am...
